Through December I did up this dragon as a way to learn some new skills in Zbrush. its at a point where I think i can show it off. Might return to it later to bake it down to a low res mesh then rig it but not sure when I will.
Boat Project marmoset Posted on 16 Sep 2012 by Greg
So here is a simple post.
been putting my boat model into a bunch of different engines trying to make it look really nice. unity was pretty easy to get into but the renders werent really good enough. UDK probably could make awesome looking renders but looks like it will take a decent amount of effort to get the boat 100% in that engine. marmoset on the other hand imported great, and renders really nice.
Lately I have managed to wrap up a project mentioned before on this site. It was a flying boat based off of the concept from Ian McQue. Well at long last I have finished textures for this project so I can post what it finally looks like. I may put another update for this eventually because I am working on getting it into unity an unreal to see how it fares as a game model. So far in unity it looks pretty nice but without unity pro I don't have any dynamic lighting, as far as unreal goes, it may just take a little longer to get it working in it.
Been busy the last little while, haven't had much time for updates. But I have been doing some neat stuff that would be worth showing. hopefully the first of lots more to come.
recently I've really started to get back into a program called Zbrush. I need it for a few components of a past project (the boat a few posts before) an while attempting to wrap it up I realized that I should spend some time learning Zbrush a little better.
so here are a few random models from the last month or two.
