Went for my first run outside this year. 10 K from my place out to the peninsula in the photo. It's technically a island but there is a man made road going to it from land.
Looking forward to the coming summer. Here's hoping its as much fun as last summer.

Current status = Pumped!

Woo Yay the Olympics
Posted on 02 Mar 2010 by Greg

So the Olympics has come and gone, we rocked out in hockey... and did well at a few other sports too. hockey was my main focus though this time. I also took up going to see my company's hockey team play. Which each time I've seen them play they have done quite well.
And that's enough sport talk, on to games and movies. I recently saw shutter island, and it was just about as good as it was hyped up to be. Cant really say much about that movie without giving stuff away so I wont say anything more. but its certainly worth a watch.
On a much older movie note I went back to some old James bonds... in specific the first James bond and started with Dr. No, it reminded me just how good Sean Connery was as James Bond. Its also quite nice to go back to watch the older James bonds with crazy villain's and even crazier plots.
If you have a 360 and like games, at some point or another you probably gave Mass Effect a go. If you did and liked it then you've probably played Mass Effect 2 now, at which point my next line wont come as a surprise. That game is frigging awesome! Everything from the storytelling, the stuff that comes from your old save file into the new game along with the much improved visuals its a great step forward. Couple that with the new game play improvements and its certainly taken a place on my list of favorite games, in fact I'm playing my end game+ right now.
That's all for now. Greg

... and another one bites the dust.

So its already Feb.
January went pretty fast, but it was pretty well spent in my mind. I left my console with my father so he might be able to enjoy next gen games (to put this in perspective the latest game hes played is battlefield Vietnam). The alternate goal in this is to sort of force myself to not procrastinate.
Bioware's done quite a good job of pushing my willpower with the release of mass effect 2. So far so good though I purchased the collectors edition of the game, but my 360 is still with my father so I cant play it yet.
In regards to my normal reviewing of stuff. I cant really say too much because I haven't been doing a lot of game playing, at least not anything new. at work we are playing counterstrike at lunch if that's any indication of my game playing this month.
I did see gamer recently. and Toug was absolutely correct on the forums. it was not worth the time it took to watch it, even found myself leaving the room because the quick cutting shots for everything was giving me a headache.
Onwards into February!

Operation Complete!

So everything's pretty much returned to standard operations.
Currently a few of us are attempting to learn Zbrush which is proving to be pretty fun. That tools changed a little since I last used it.
But in any case I might have a few cool models to show off as I start to produce more art.
Onwards with 2010!
